Comic Relief?

something unrelated: always found it amusing when in comic books, the sound meant to escape from a character’s lips is: - - wait for it - - URK!! wtf?? talk about poetic or literary licence. who makes this stuff up? nevertheless; its brilliance.

I often use the word 'urk' in my daily conversations, though it often also involves milk coming out of my nose.

In my experience, the sound is actually always 'Eish'. Like, always. "Eish!"

REALLY amusing!!! Good point though... but now i have a new 'word' to use when frustrated, although nothing ever is as satisfying as "AAAAGH!!" it always gets me chilled and centerd or laughing again.

i cannot resist: so, does milk exit your nose on a daily basis?

karen..
yup, i think it must be difficult to be the writer of a comic. all those sound effects you have to think up.. must be horrific.

L.O.B..
i wonder if there is a connection between "urk" and "irk".. anyway, it beats going off into a soliloque of words-of-ill-repute.

does anyone remember battle axe press?? it was brilliant. i loved the artwork. i recall being in primary school when the spawn comics were sold at the local supermarket. must be about 12 years ago – how time flies...
