happy valentines day

yes, friends and neighbours, another stroke of commercialism brilliance! Some guy got beheaded a couple 100 years ago, now flower/candy/jewellery stores are having a field day. who knew.

a day designed to make the haves feel good. and the have-nots feverishly contemplate suicide. [almost like x-mas, which has the highest suicide rate of any time of the year]

if all else fails, one could always send flowers to yourself... but, really... how pathetic is that?

on another note, im going on study leave [FINALLY] for the board exam at the end of this week. 3 weeks. so, il be away for a while. have fun, kiddies. im gonna enjoy my time of not having to come to this gawd-4saken place many deem to affectionately label "the office". [bleh] i, however, will be comfortably reclining in my pj's at all inappropriate hours of the day. and i will enjoy it.

till then.

good night and good luck.

Hey Neko: Happy VD. ;)

Yeah, and they didn't even put the bloke's head back on right...from my understanding, that's where the phrase "head on backwards" comes from. seems apropos.

Enjoy the time in the PJ's. Wear them to the office on your return...

I understand the history of this jejune "holiday," but I can't figure out why some people around here pronounce it "Valentime's Day." Who the fuck changed the "N" to an "M"? And why do these same people add an "R" to the beginning of the word "familiar"?
"Yo, dawg. I'm totally farmiliar wit Valentime's Day, homey." They're killing English....

hang in there with the studies. it is worth it in the end...because it will be over and you will have your letters which translate to more cash!

Bleh bleh re Valentines. I am over it. :)

Hope you enjoy your study leave. I will never understand how people derive benefit from wearing their pyjamas all day. I mean... that means you haven't showered. Which means you're dirty... and mud-wrestling aside, how can anyone have fun when they're dirty?

I am envious of your pj and reclining fest. I am however, not envious of the studying...

Its a long haul to the end of exams, but its worth it!
