in love and war

every religion, well most, has this mantra they perpetuate: do onto others... love others... what you do comes back times 3... etc.

*you get what im saying*

so, what’s up with war?

*time for an islam woodstock? is bollyhood invited? they oughta be*

i dont understand the need for killing people and i never will. i dont agree with drafting people to go murder other people. how was this legal, not to mention compulsory?

[i met a girl the other day. very sweet. came from some african country. a country where EVERYBODY has to undergo MANDATORY military training.
*girls and boys, this is an AK 47... repeat after me... “this is my rifle...”*]

*shiver*

the general idea of war: “i have more guns and more ammo and more soldiers!! so, you have to do what i say!! give me your lands and women to pillage and rape!! give me your children to enslave!!! give me your minds and souls!! take on my religion and beliefs!! you will do every damn thing i say!!!

or die.”

wtf??

maybe im ignorant. and stupid. and naive.

*maybe some people have too much time on their hands*

in my humble opinion, i think people need to read more. and care more. no street kids / poverty = no people who rob, murder, rape and loot.

no war = no unnecessary orphans, hunger, pain, loss.

*there’s a lot of money in having a war. if you’re a corporation sponsored politician.*

and in conclusion,

wtf??

so, is there a need for some countries to police other countries?

If the world wasn't such an interdependent place, we probably wouldn't have wars. These days, wars aren't so much about conquering someone else's land for your own country, á la Alexander the Great. They're mostly about thigs like oil and diamonds.

Everybody wants something they can't have.

yeah, but why dont they just buy it. why kill people?

whats up with the religious freaks up in the middle-east and that general area?

whats up with human car bombs and flying into buildings?

i dont think the suburbians need to be involved in these kind of horric things..

They are refusing to just buy it because the prices are so high. The sad thing is that obviously, by just starting a war, they just aggravate the problem. And then poor students in South Africa end up spending more money on petrol. >_>

But yeah... sadly it's the nature of war that the innocent get involved. If a country wants to make an impact, they have to make an example of the innocent. It's a dreadful, dreadful truth.

As for car bombs and flying into buildings... I think that terrorism is, for them, a form of revenge against Western invasion. That's they only way they feel they can get back at the capitalist western pigs.

A very sad situation indeed. :( Is it a surprise that we have so many emo kids? No one understands!

mike..
ive been wondering about this for a while now, but i dont wanna go read your entire blog [its a year old!! kudo's!]... so if you could refer me to where it explains the "emo" thing, thatd be great. :D

revenge is, for the most part, a fruitless exercise..

Yes, I agree completely. I was just trying to explain some of the convoluted logic of war. But I'm no History student, so don't listen to me!

Hey... you seem to always know when a comment comes in. Are you on MSN?

hey

no MSN. but, im at the office today -- all day internet access. plus, blogr has this comment thing you activate on the blog template which sends you email notifications when someone comments on your blog.

im a comment-whore. it stands to reason, really.

im reading thru your blog... not finding anything that explains "emo"... um ... its not that im blonde.. just curious and sometimes a little ignorant.

*if "emo" is michael-speak for "emotional", im gonna feel realy stupid*

Yes, I suspected you got the email comments. So do I, and because I sit on MSN most of the time, I know when they come in.

Anyway, emo is short for emotional, yes, but I didn't make it up! I think it started with the music genre, also called emo, which is a type of punk rock which is often ridiculed for it's silly lyrics, which run along the lines of:

'My girlfriend broke up with me, now I'm going to slit my wrists, no one gets me.'

I like to call myself emo, as a joke. I AM a very moody and introspective individual, but I've never cut myself, and I certainly don't stress about being single! I'm sort of getting over the emo music, but that's not to say I'm going to start getting some sun and cut my fantastic black hair. :P

Anyway... get MSN! Or Gtalk! We could chat.

Im a little pro-active, so i googled emo. and pretty much read about what you just told me.

emo - punk rock on estrogen. its music, its style, its what you wear. turns out im an emo girl. i just never knew there was a defined category.

il look into the MSN thing. :D

Ironically, emo kids detest labels and societal norms. But there is a category for them!

Welcome to the light, emogirl! Your emo name is Lacrimosa, here is your welcome pack and your name tag.

note the asterisks! it means i smile on the inside -- at the irony of life ... um, er.. oh, im so depro i wanna die?

oh alrite.

MSN is difficult -- has been outlawed at work network.. must do underhanded villianous deeds to accomplish this... will let u know, but might take very long..

yes.. incredibly off-topic we are..

hey, do you know where to get those alerts for when my fave blogses are updated? id like that.

Ah, yes, MSN is often outlawed on company networks. :( What about Gtalk?

3:04 pm
Blogger AristoNeeks said...

anything that could have the slightest usurpage of "productivity" as an effect, is outlawed.

they even outlawed skype. :(

and hotmail. webmail, or any other other email service, other than the official company email service provider.

all the fun web-pages are scouted. [ie, blocked / outlawed]

so, i doubt Gtalk is allowed.

ah well.

cant really say its censorship... its more a limitation of privileges.

Sorry...there I go again.

War is only good for
keeping the population down.
But then again so are volcanos,
tidal waves and earthquakes...
I guess they all serve a purpose.
